Sadly, the updates from Bridgeport Speedway will come to an end. With the completion of Online Journalism 1, I will no longer be updating the blog. I had a great time doing it and will slightly miss it.
I learned a lot about journalism by doing this blog. It was really neat to live tweet/blog an event. There is a lot that goes into that and with the events happening so fast, it was a a challenge to keep everything updated. One does not realize how much a journalist is responsible for until you actually have deadlines and need to get everything done.
There are so many posts that I feel I did well on, but here are my top 5.

Six weeks into the racing season, it is time for a review of what has happened so far. Currently, Jimmy Horton, #5, and Matt “Flatfoot” Budd, #4M / #60, lead the standings in their respective divisions.
The season opened with the 60 Over Special, a tribute to last year’s promoter, Doug Hoffman, who passed away unexpectedly during the holiday season. That event was won by Bobby Varin.

Driver Scott Hulmes talks about how racing at Bridgeport Speedway is not an easy job. It takes dedication and is a family affair.

With the season underway, there is one thing that everyone wants to know. What’s next for the Port Report? We’re currently in the process of compiling a small video to show you what things are actually like at the track. We also are thinking about a live updates of an event, which would be really cool to be able to tell you guys what is happening in real time. The semester is almost over, but stick with us ’till the very end!!
